September 2021

Hello readers. I hope you've all been doing well. It's been a month since we published the last THIS WEEK IN FILM. So, I guess this issue is THIS MONTH IN FILM. While I hope to continue to do weekly publishing, life continues to get in the way. The following are the twenty-seven films we viewed in September. Which is a slower month for us. I'm sure that number will double in October. As you can see there's a new format we're trying out here, we hope you enjoy. And without further ramblings, here's the sh*t we watched in September.

It's not fair to have to pick a HIGH/LOW for an entire month, but here we go anyway.

HIGH - We enjoyed Friday The 13th IV with friends, A Return To Salem's Lot on the new Shout! Factory Bluray, Velvet Goldmine, Elvira with Elvira was a blast, and I love every viewing of Rules of Attraction. But the best-of-the-best this month was Elevator to the Gallows in 35mm at the Music Box theater in Chicago.

HIGH: ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS

LOW - There have been some let-downs this month and while I was ready to place Blades in the total sh*t category, it surprised me in the end. The Scanners sequels were pretty horrible, but the worst film we saw this month has to be Girls School Screamers. Definitely not getting that wasted time back.

LOW: GIRLS SCHOOL SCREAMERS
